    The British are tyrannical. There’s no doubt about that. Six counties, folks… Britain’s “empire” also includes Australia, New Zealand and Canada… there are others, too.

    Get the British out of the north of Ireland.

    @gamblemadman Through democratic process and no other. The will of the majority will determine the outcome and religion more than ever before will not come into play. The ROI is fast becoming one of the most secular nations in Europe with the recent reports on the wide spread and systematic ABUSES of children at the hands of roman catholic clergy and their attempt to cover it up. Being a fully independent nation is preferable to me over joining the ROI.

    @runevidgeek3 Umm … I guess lol.
    You’re from Belfast. Do want want N.Ireland to stay British or join S.Ireland? Or maybe it could do what the Scots are about to do and become a fully independent nation in its own right.

    To the people of Eire: I am not one of you, but I share your sense of love and devotion to our respective motherlands. I am salvadoran, and my country too has been through rebellions against imperialists, tyrants, and oligarchs. Only, even after we won our “democracy”, we lost our innocence & spiraled into violence worse than that of our revolution. People of Ireland, never stop fighting for justice, but do so without blood on your hands. Ireland is beautiful and so are you. Éire go Brách

    @gamblemadman the opportunity for indepencence will now always be there, it is only a matter of time. I am not saying outnumbering but it is about 50/50 i would say.

    @keveydaking The union being the unification of all the individual countries that make up the united Kindom is what I was obviously talking about. Not the EU lol.
    So the Catholics in N. Ireland are already outnumbering the Protestants? And they are voting to stay in the union for the moment for no reason other than economic protection? surly they would vote for independence if the oppertunity presented itself no? Economic stability or not … i’d have thought they would jump at the chance.

    @gamblemadman leave the union? i was aware we were talking about northern ireland being in the UK/ireland and not the EU. anyway once the economy somewhat increases in the south, all the catholics will vote ireland. At the momeny, many catholics i know vote UK, as the irish economy right now is more than ridiculous.

    @keveydaking Nope. I never said (or meant) all of em… Just the majority.
    Why dont the Southern Irish just start moving up north until they outnumber the Northern Irish? That way they can vote (as a majority) to leave the union… problem solved eh?

    @keveydaking Actually its The Northern Irish people that want N. Ireland to be stay of the UK… and the Southern Irish want N. Ireland to be joined with the south.
    The rest of us in Britain (England, Scotland and wales) just want everyone to get along.
    =)

    @IrishCol1only yes well if i just said there were nationalists and unionists then he would still be wondering why protestants and catholics were targeted. In most cases (but not all the time of course) catholics would have been nationalist, and protestant = unionist.

    @keveydaking I understand what your saying but you cant group people in those categories … its not like that in reality and coming from and living in Northern Ireland, plus growing up in the troubles, I know for a fact that its not that simple, but I appreciate where you were coming from in your comment! :)
